"Si paramos La Colosa" at globale Bogotá
"Si paramos La Colosa, paramos cualquier Cosa" (Engl. title: "Stopping La Colosa, reclaiming our territory"), a video documentation from Hanna Thiesing and Kristina Dietz was selected to be presented at the Festival Internacional de Vídeo Documental Globale Bogotá 2017, Miradas Críticas y Emancipadoras, which is taking place from 9 - 14 september 2017 in Bogotá, Colombia. "Si paramos La Colosa, paramos cualquier Cosa" told in seven chapter on the popular consultations on the protest against the gold mining mega project "La Colosa" in Tolima department, Colombia.

The International Documentary Festival globale is a non-profit, non-commercial film festival, free of competition but with space for discussion, cinematic experience and interchange of social and political content.
Originally founded in Berlin, the idea of the globale was carried into different cities since 2003. Thus, the globale was already realized in Warsaw (Poland), or also Montevideo (Uruguay), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and also in Bogotá (Colombia).
Since 2011 the Festival Internacional de Vídeo Documental Globale Bogotá has been running in the Colombian capital under the heading of "Miradas Críticas y Emancipadoras" (critical and emancipated views).
This year, the festival is dedicated to the following topics:
1) Repressive policies against social movements.
2) Racist and/or feminicidal violence.
3) Autonomous and collective experiences for socio-political transformation.
